We’re two developers building a simple and practical birth-planning tool. Our mission is to provide an intuitive, user-friendly platform for expectant parents to plan their birth experience with confidence.

Before my first child was born, my wife and I spent time learning about the beauty of birth and the incredible journey women go through during pregnancy and childbirth. It completely shifted my mindset. Watching my wife go through this experience made me love and appreciate both her and my mother even more, as well as deeply respect what all women endure when giving birth, the choices, decisions, and sacrifices they make mentally, physically, and emotionally. In the final months of pregnancy, my wife needed to create a birth plan. Being involved in the process, I saw how challenging it was to find clear, consolidated information. Resources were scattered across the internet, and there was no simple, centralised way to both access that information and create a plan easily. That's how this project was born; it became my first full-stack project. My goal was to create something user-friendly, informative, and accessible to help women make informed decisions about their birth process, understand what they may experience, and confidently make the choices that are right for them.

I’ve always enjoyed taking complicated systems and making them calm, clear, and usable. That instinct became very real when my wife and I started preparing for the arrival of our first child. As we learned more about birth planning, I saw how overwhelming the information can be. Important decisions are spread across leaflets, websites, and conversations, often explained in language that is hard to navigate when emotions and time are already stretched. I began mapping out the key choices and timings, breaking them down into clear, step-by-step guidance that actually makes sense when you need it. At Sabr Labs, I design the product experience and build the infrastructure behind BirthYourWay, focusing on reliability, privacy, and accessibility. I am deliberate about removing friction and reducing jargon so the experience feels supportive rather than overwhelming. Going through this process has made me deeply aware that no two births or families are the same.
